DANA ROSE

I’m Dana Rose, a photographer, mixed media artist, and small-town creative based out of Alvord, IA. Living in a quiet rural community gives me the space to slow down, notice the little things, and let my imagination wander. That’s where most of my work begins. Whether I’m photographing high school seniors or crafting an illustrative piece, my goal is always the same: to tell a story. I’m drawn to character and connection, curious animals with something to say, children deep in play, and quiet moments full of meaning. My artwork often mixes realism with a bit of whimsy, inviting the viewer to step into a scene and wonder what might happen next. Over the years, I’ve been honored to receive recognition at both state and international levels, including representing Team USA in the 2021 World Photographic Cup. I’ve earned my Master Artist and Master Photographer degrees through Professional Photographers of America, and I love sharing what I’ve learned by teaching others about Photoshop, compositing, and illustration. But at the end of the day, I’m still that kid who loved to draw animals and make up stories. Now, I just use a bigger toolbox.
